In Ansatsusha de Aru Ore no Status ga Yuusha yori mo Akiraka ni Tsuyoi no da ga (translated as My Status as an Assassin Obviously Exceeds the Hero’s), ordinary high schooler Oda Akira and his classmates are summoned to a fantasy world where they’re each granted special classes and powers. While one classmate becomes the “Hero,” Akira is assigned the “Assassin” class — but to his surprise, his stats and abilities far outstrip those of the supposed hero. Suspicious of the king’s motives, Akira conceals his true strength and delves into royal conspiracies, eventually being framed and forced to flee. With the help of an elven spirit medium named Amelia, he seeks both revenge and the truth behind the summoning.
