On a rainy evening, a reclusive novelist named Fuji discovers an abandoned animal in a cardboard box that claims (in writing) to be a dog and asks to be taken home. Intrigued, she does—and their quietly sweet daily life together begins, filled with companionship, gentle surprises, and moments both ordinary and touching.
